said that NI was investigating so I thought you guys knew by now about the instability- crashes issues and what happens when you reach max RAM usage, sorry if I didn't make it more clear. It shouldn't take more than 5 minutes to reproduce what we've been reporting here for months. Yea I can go back to Kontakt 6.3 but then several libraries won't work. It happened a few times and it wasn't cool.
Now I can't change Kontakt instruments if I need to show a director different sounds, arrangements, because I risk crashing the session (you know how these meetings go, the last thing I'm worried about is RAM not getting flushed XD). I have a lightweight 32GB laptop that I use for meetings and showing demos that used to be perfect for that. It's wasted memory that leads to the system becoming very unstable and eventually crashing.
This is not a modern memory allocation thing, it's bugged and can be reproduced. There are tons of information in this thread showing how Kontakt from 6.4 up isn't releasing RAM.
